These assessments are designed as a way for you to check what skills your students/children have and where you should focus your instruction. These assessments can be given on a regular basis to check progress.

I created these cards as a way to help develop vocabulary and word recognition in early readers. When we take a look at the reading brain, we can see that meaning is important when kids are learning new words! Many of the early decodable words are words that kids may not hear often. This means vocabulary is important at even the earliest stages of learning to read!
This set is part of the Vocabulary Cards for Comprehension Meaning Phonics CVC Blends Digraphs BUNDLE
This resources includes 23 decodable pages that are aligned with my phonics scope & sequence and my high frequency word scope & sequence.
I chose every single word very carefully to ensure that my decodables are 100% decodable if you are following my scope & sequences! This builds confidence for emerging readers and eliminates the need for memorizing words or guessing.
